According to one Arizona gun dealer: "When something like this happens people get worried that the government is going to ban stuff."
Chew on this:
One-day sales of handguns in Arizona jumped 60 percent to 263 on Jan. 10 compared with 164 the corresponding Monday a year ago, the second-biggest increase of any state in the country, according to Federal Bureau of Investigation data.
Handgun sales rose 65 percent to 395 in Ohio; 16 percent to 672 in California; 38 percent to 348 in Illinois; and 33 percent to 206 in New York, the FBI data show. Sales increased nationally about 5 percent, to 7,906 gunsI'm telling you, people, this nation is certifiably nuts.

A certifiable nation just does not regain sanity over night...
It is going to take a long time for sanity to return - if it ever happens. How much time do we have? How devoted are we to the USA of the past and far future that we will suffer the violence of the USA of the present?
I don't think we have but a few moments time. Consider what this gun-totin', gun-lovin' bunch of paranoiacs and xenophobes is going to do when they discover how much they've actually hoodwinked by the promises of their keepers. They will be mightily pissed, and we all know what happens in history when this state of affairs obtains.
