Somewhere Only We Know

This English group is called Keane . . . I can't help it. I like this sweet-sounding stuff. And I cannot help but observe, from the vantage point of all these years, that the singer appears to be not a day over 16.

I love that song. Although it's been out a few years, I'd not realized that Keane's members were that young, either.

An unusual group. As far as I can tell, they have the piano and drums plus singer. No guitars at all. I suspect they are using computer for the other instruments--don't you hear a bass?--but I saw them live on a TV show and I didn't see any electronics. Hmmmm.

I've listened to that album a million times and I still love it. It's funny that you mention how young they are because he actually says "I'm getting old" in the song. Looks like he was actually 28 when the song was released.

I have found a lot of british artists I like lately. Have you checked out Mumford and Sons?

Well, dear, when you're at my advanced years, everybody looks 10 years younger than they are. Now I'll have to go back and find where he says I'm getting old. Anyway, you've probably seen my latest Brit band, Arctic Monkeys. And of course I'm crazy about Radiohead. Also like Coldplay, Muse, Franz Ferdinand, The Strokes, The Killers. Anybody else I should check out?

I will definitely check out Mumford and Sons. I have indeed heard of them.
