Metric. The latest great sleeper band I've encountered--via Pandora. (Sleeper band for me because I've never heard of them, but apparently they've been around for a while.) Song is called "Gold Guns Girls," and it's terrific.
I understand that iPods are becoming passe since one can now carry a bunch of music around with them in their smart phone. If and when you ever decided to go musical, I can burn a lot CDs for you.
I developed a fear of being contacted by phone over the past times of trouble (as historians call them)and jump when the bloody thing goes off. And I hate spending the money... And I never get used to the delay... (Last year we got my wife new deal... she had been paying $9 a month to Verizon for ever. They were glad to see the backs of us going out the door.)
However, when daughter and husband were in Venezia, the GPS app on their phone was phenomenal!

I like it. One of these days I'll get an iPod and do whatever it is one does with such items.

OK. Done.
I'm not sure about smart phones.

Certainly these are cogent and convincing reasons not to have a smart phone. I'm not sure what you mean about "delay."
Speaking of GPS, my phone's GPS was what got Susan around in Ireland and Spain when were were over there.
Plsu, I'm kind of a gadget guy. Not total, but bad enough for it to be noticeable to those who aren't.
